The NFL is an American football league that consists of 32 teams. The teams are divided equally between two conferences: National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The regular season is made up of 17 weeks, in which 32 teams play 16 times with a bye week. It usually spans from early September to late December. After the regular season is finished, 6 teams from each conference advance to the playoffs. The teams are chosen by division winners along with two wild card teams. The playoffs are a single elimination tournament that finalizes the champions of each conference to go to the superbowl. The Super Bowl is help on the very first Sunday of February.
