What is the MHMB?
MHMB stands for Monroe Hornet Marching Band. The band was established in 1969 and is turning 50 this year (2019). Every single year since, the band has grown and learned and shared great memories together. 50 years later the tradition lives on. Things like the Bear, senior pass downs, band camp activities and senior circle keep the origins of the band alive.This year’s band camp theme was ‘Marching through Memories’. Each grade level from the eighth graders to the seniors had a decade. Every activity we did had to do with the decades we were given, like karaoke. The walls of the cafeteria were decorated with the uniforms of the bands past bringing back the nostalgia of the band.
