Gamemode: Gem Grab

3v3 gamemode that's objective revolves around a gem spawner in the middle of the map that spawns gems around every 10 seconds.

The way to win this mode is for a team to obtain and carry 10 or more gems together. Carrying this amount of gems causes a timer of 15 seconds to activate which represents the time to win. If the team with the gems are able to keep their gems by the time the timer reaches zero, they win.

When a player collects a gem, an icon of a gem will appear over their brawler's health bar, which is over their heads, with a number inside of it which shows how much gems that player is carrying. If a brawler that is carrying gems gets defeated, they drop their gems on the spot where they died. There is also no gem carrying capacity so one player could hold all the 10 needed gems if they need to.

If both teams have the same amount of 10 or more gems, the victory timer for the first team who obtained the amount of gems needed to start their winning clock stops and is at the stalemate between the teams. To stop this stalemate, one of the teams must obtain one gem more than the other team which the victory timer starts again. This pattern of stalemates could go on infinitely.

Gamemode: Solo Showdown

Battle royale-themed gamemode that has 10 different players fighting against eachother in a bigger landscaped map.

The objective of this game is to battle against other players to be the last player alive. There are these crate-like structures around the map that helps provide players with an advantage over other opponents called "Power Cube Boxes". These boxes have a minimum HP of 4500 and maximum of 6500(HP of boxes depend on the average power level of all brawlers in the match combined). When you break a power cube box, it drops a singular power cube that a player can grab. Upon grabbing it, the player's brawler will receive both a health and damage buff. An icon of a power cube will also appear over the brawler's health bar with the amount of cubes obtained as well, same concept as obtaining a gem in Gem Grab. When defeating an opponent who has power cubes, they will drop a certain amount of power cubes which scale on how much they have obtained.

While the match progresses, green smoke will start to flood the borders of the map until it starts to close in towards the center ot it. The green smoke acts like a zone that forces players towards the center of the map. Once the green smoke spawns, it doesn't stop progressively closing in until a winner is determined, so that means that there is no smoke closing phases as it will keep growing towards the middle of the map.

When there are only two players left, the game will activate a "showdown phase" which is just a system signifying that there are two players left until one defeats the other causing the player to win.

Gamemode: Duo Showdown

Battle royale themed game mode that has 10 players on a wide map and are put into 5 teams with a duo partner in the match.

Duo showdown has the exact same concept as solo showdown except you are paired with a partner instead of being by yourself. Power cube boxes, the green smoke, and showdown system all work the exact same way but with just two people per team. When a teammate is defeated, they have a timed respawn of 15 seconds whenever the other teammate is alive and they will respawn where their alive teammate is currently standing. If both teammates die, then they are eliminated from the game and lose.

Gamemode: Brawl Ball

3v3 gamemode revolving around a ball in-game that you need to take into your opponents goal and win.

At the beginning of the match, the ball spawns at the center of the map with the players around it and their goal is to fight against each other and put the ball in the enemy team's goal zone in which they have 2:30 minutes to make it happen. When brawlers are defeating in-game, they respawn inside their goal zone. Upon carrying the ball, a player is restricted from using their main attack, super ability, or gadget and are forced to pass or shoot the ball which takes an ammo bar. You are able to perform a super shot abiliy which can be used if your super bar is full and are carrying the ball. Using the super shot makes the ball travel more distance and at a faster speed, but will cost your entire super bar. The ball is able to bounce off objects and walls whether it is a normal or super shot, which allows players to perform trickshots to trick their opponents in order to score. Players are also not able to own goal in brawl ball so both shooting and carrying the ball into the player's goal will be blocked by a invisible barrier.

When a player scores a goal, all the players and the ball respawn at the center of the map thus initiating the next round. Whenever a team socres two goals, they instantly win. If a team scores only one goal and the other doesn't and the match timer ends, the team with the socred goal wins the match. If the match is tied when the timer ends, the game will go into a overtime phase where all objects, pushes, and walls are instantly destroyed causing the players to play in an open field. Overtime lasts 1 minute and gives the players another chance to win the match. Overtime ends whenever a team scores a goal and wins or until the timer runs out. If the overtime timer runs out, the game will end in a draw with no winner.

Gamemode: Bounty

3v3 gamemode that is objectively based on fighting and defeating the enemy players.

Bounty can be seen as a "Team Deathmatch" game mode like in "Call of Duty" because the main objective in the gamemode is to defeat enemy players and gain the most points by the time the match timer of 2 minutes ends. You are able to gain points by defeating enemy players and by doing so will add the points to your team score.

The point system works in a unique way. At the beginning of each match, the players spawn at opposite sides and all have 2 bounty stars over their brawler's heads. The bounty stars represent points in the game which is needed to win the game. The only way to get points is by defeating enemy players. When you defeat an enemy brawler, the amount of bounty stars they have over their heads will determine how many points you will receive. So if you defeat an enemy brawler who has 4 bounty stars over their head, you will receive 4 points towards your team's score. A brawler can carry a maximum of 7 stars which means the maximum amount of points you can receive from an individual opponent is 7. However, each time you defeat an enemey player, you add a bounty star over your brawler's head until you reach the maximum amount. Having more bounty stars makes you a great target for enemy players because if they are able to defeat you they will get a lot of value from that due to obtaining 7 points towards their team score.

The blue bounty star acts like a tie-breaker system that prevents draws from happening,. The blue star can be first obtained at the start of a match where it is located in the center and can be picked up by a player. Upon picking up the blue star, one of the player's 2 bounty stars will turn blue and will add 1 extra point towards their team's score. When a player is defeated while carrying the blue star, it will be passed onto player who defeated the previous carrier or the said star. If a match ends with both teams having the same score, the team who was carrying the blue star before the timer ended will be the winners of the match.

Gamemode: Heist

3v3 gamemode that is based on attacking the enemy team's safe and destroying it for instant victory.

Heist has the players spawning in different sides of the map and both teams are assigned with a safe that is meant to be protected from enemy players. The players all have 2:30 minutes to destroy the opponent's safe by using their brawler's attacks on them.

On the top left-hand side of the screen while playing will display a blue percentage bar that represents your team's safe health. On the right-hand side, a red percentage bar will be displayed which represents the enemy's safe health. The safes have a maximum health of 60,000 and a minimum of 45,000, health of safe scales on the average brawler level in the match. Whenever a player deals damage on a safe, the percentage and health bar of that safe will decrease. When a safe's health bar reaches zero percent, that signifies that the safe has been destroyed and the team that destroyed the safe achieves instant victory.

If the match timer ends and neither of the teams' safes were destroyed, the team who did more damage to the other safe and has a higher safe health percentage wins and the team with the lower remaining safe health will lose. If the match timer ends and both teams' safes have the same health percentage, neither team will win and the game will end in a draw.

Gamemode: Siege

3v3 gamemode that consists of strategic attacks in order to claim bolts from the middle of the attack and to attack the enemy's base in order to win the match.

Siege is a unique and interesting gamemode that requires strategic tactics in order to win the match. Both teams spawn on opposite sides and the goal for this game mode is to destroy the enemy team's IKE Machine, which is a turret tower that deals significant damage to enemy players. The problem for this is that players can't use their brawlers against the machines because of the advantages it has. IKE machines have a maximum hp of 38000 and it's health scales on the average brawler power level in the match. IKE machines deal massive damage at a quick rate of fire. They deal 1000 damage per shot and auto lock onto a brawler whenever they reach it's attack radius, which can be detected by looking at the dotted line in the shape of an arch. If multiple players approach the opposing IKE machine, it will lock onto the first player that stepped over the enemy zone. If it defeats the first player who stepped over, it will lock onto the second person that stepped over or the last player in the zone. An IKE machine can change targets if it is stunned by a brawler's ability and once it is stunned it will target the closest brawler to it.

In order to efficiently destroy the IKE machine, there are these bolts that spawn in the middle of the map in which players are to compete with the enemy players to claim the most bolts. There are three siege phases in which the bolts will spawn and each phase lasts around 25-35 seconds. When a bolt is about to spawn, a light grey circle will appear over where the bolt will spawn until 3 seconds after and it will spawn. The bolts have 9 unique spawn points all different depending on map and will all have a unique order of spawning at these different points. When a brawler collects a bolt, an icon will appear over their brawler's head with a number representing how many they are carrying. A singular brawler can carry as much as they want since there is no carrying capacity for bolts. When a brawler is holding a bolt for around 5 seconds, it will be taken away from the player's brawler and delivered to their team's IKE machine, which will also show how much bolts the machine is now carrying. Brawlers can only deliver one bolt at a time which means if they have 3 bolts, it will deliver 1 bolt at a time and location of the brawler doesn't matter as the bolts will be taken to their IKE machines at any location on the map. If a brawler is defeated, the bolts they were carrying before their defeat will drop where they were defeated.

When a siege phase ends, the team with the most bolts collected during the phase will a spawn a Siege Robot at their team's IKE machine. If the amount of bolts collected are the same between the two teams, a draw will happen during that phase and the next will start immediately. The level of the robot scales on the amount of bolts they collected during the siege phase. The more bolts collected, the more the robot's health, damage, and speed will increase. The color of the robot will change after every 10 bolts collected which also signifies the robot's threat level towards the opposing team. The robots instantly lock onto the IKE machines so they travel from their IKE machine towards the enemy's. The players have to stop the robot from damaging their IKE machine or help their robot destroy it. The robot will only attack close range and can damage players if they are close to it. If a IKE machine is destroyed, then victory is given to those who destroyed it. If the IKE towers are not destroyed by the end of the 3 phases, the team who did the most damage wins. If both teams have the same IKE health percentage by the end of the match, the game ends in a draw.

Gamemode: Hotzone

3v3 gamemode that has a general concept of fighting off your opponents in order to stand in the objective zone to win the match.

Hotzone has a fairly simple and easy to understand concept. Each team spawns on opposite sides of the map and there are these circular zones in the map that represents points. The main objective is to have your brawler stand on top of these points in order to fill your point percentage bar. The percentage bar represents how many points you have in a percentaged form from 1-100%. In order to win instantly in the gamemode, your team's percentage bar must reach 100% before the enemy team does. The progress of your point percentage bar can be seen on the top left corner on your screen where you see a blue flag icon with a progress bar which is your team's progression and below that is a red flag icon with the progression bar which is the enemy team's progression in the match.

There can be more than 1 point on the map and can go up to a maximum total of 3 on a map. If there are more points one the map, the progression rate is slower on a singular point and faster on a 2 point or 1 point map. Having 3 players on 3 different points will have the same progression rate as 1 player on a point in a 1 point map. Each point can be filled to a capacity when a player is standing on it which means that if there is more than 1 point on the map, each point can only be fill a fraction of the amount of progession needed to win. A player from each team can get progression from the same point if they are both standing on it. A point also shows the amount of progession both teams have on it until it is filled completely which will represent a more brighter version of their team's color with stars around the filled bar. If none of the teams fill their percentage bar in the 3 minute match, the team who filled it more than the other will win. If the amount of progression filled is the same for both teams, the match ends in a draw.

Gamemode: Knockout

3v3 gamemode that has the absolute objective of defeating your opponents to achieve victory.

Knockout also has a fairly simple to understand concept. Each team is spawned at opposite sides of the map and really all they have to worry about is defeating the enemy team players and win rounds to win the match.

When a brawler is defeated in a round, they are permanently down for the round until the next round commences. In order to win a round, the players must defeat each player from the opposing team. At the top of the screen in the middle, are 3 white target symbols representing the rounds. If you see a blue target, it represents the round your team won and if you see a red symbol, it represents the round the enemy team won. Players need to win 2 rounds to win the match since the gamemode is played in a best of 3 format. When a round goes on for too long, green smoke will emerge from the top and bottom sides of the map and will slowly move towards the center until it fully floods the map and until a team wins the round.

Gamemode: Power League

Gamemode that uses many of the modes of Brawl Stars and sets it into a competitive format.

Power League is not a unique gamemode of it's own and instead it involves 3v3 gamemodes and is displayed as ranked gamemode of Brawl Stars. When playing this mode, there are 2 different power league game modes: solo and team. Solo is where you can only queue and play matches in this mode individualy. Your other teammates and opponents in the match all queued for the mode as well. Team mode is where you're only allowed to queue into a match in this mode with a full team of 3 players and will only go against players who all queued into the mode together.

In this mode altogether, the match will be played in a random 3v3 game mode upon the following:

  • Gem Grab
  • Brawl Ball
  • Heist
  • Bounty
  • Siege
  • Hotzone

When entering the match with a randomly selected map and mode, there will be a preparation phase for the match which involves:

  • Ban Phase-Team captains choose a brawler they want to don't want anyone to play in the match. Team Captains are randomly selected for solo players and is given to the party leader of the group for teams.
  • Brawler Select-Each player chooses a brawler they want to play in the match. There can only be one of each brawler and theres a coin flip at the beginning of the preparation phase that decides which team gets first pick.
  • Final Preparation-Before the match begins, a 15 second phase occurs for the players to make final adjustments to the brawler they picked whether it is changing their star power, gadget, or gears.

When the match begins, the gamemode selected from the beginning is played the same way as the casual format but the only thing unique is that the match is not determined by one win. The match goes in a best of 3 format to where it takes 2 round wins to win the match series. When a team wins a round, they get a point and will need one more round win to win the match. When a draw occurs in a round, no point is rewarded to each team and the next will start afterwards.

There is a ranking system in the gamemode to award players for their competitive performance. The ranks go by: -Bronze 1-3, -Silver 1-3, -Gold 1-3, -Diamond 1-3, Mythic 1-3, Legendary 1-3, and -Master. The higher your rank is, the higher your rewards is which is star points. A player has 2 different ranks in the game since they can rankfor both Solo and Team modes. Each time a new season occurs the rewards are given and your rank will demote depending on the rank. You can also play matches and win series to receive free in-game cosmetics.
