Who is Derrick Rose?

Derrick Martell Rose is a popular American basketball player who currently plays for the ‘New York Knicks’ of the ‘National Basketball Association’ (NBA). Born and raised in Chicago in the US, Rose has been involved with basketball since his high school days. Shortly after his talent in the sport became apparent, he went on to become one of the best high school players in the country. Later, he played college basketball for ‘Memphis Tigers’ where his outstanding skills were appreciated. He was drafted into the NBA in 2008 by ‘Chicago Bulls.’ Thanks to his physique and skills, he went on to become one of the finest players in the history of NBA. In the year 2011, at the age of 22, he became the youngest player to win the NBA ‘Most Valuable Player Award.’ A year after in 2012 while in the NBA Playoffs against the Phhiladelphia 76ers, Rose tore his ACL in his left knee and was out for the rest of the year.

 

In 2016 he got traded from the Bulls to the New York Knicks and since then has play for the Knicks in 2016-2017, the Cleveland Cavilers from 2017-2018, the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2018-2019, the Detroit Pistons from 2019-2020, and has just recently went back to the Knicks this year
