Now the 3rd generation was interesting because since the NES was dominating Sega decided to regroup and come out with a new console and it was a success the genesis beat nintendo´s attempt at beating the genesis with the super nintendo entertainment system or SNES it was also pretty good but could not compete with the genesis because the genesis had one good thing going for sega sonic he fit in right with the 90´s and sega advistered themselves as a mature company and that made the teens and the kids want it and nintendo was pretty much throught as a stupid kid company for little baby´s thats why the genesis was successful and atari was doing stuff but it wasn't important
