UGV is a Unmanned Ground Vehicle, UGVs are used in both civilian and military purposes like search and resuce, farming, and harvesting. The military uses UGVs for EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal), Helps with heavy lifting and carring large amounts of equipment, they can help repair and protect their fellow soldiers. The first UGV was made in 2004 for helping the marines.
Big Dog: This is a type of carrier drone to help carry heavy supplies across the battlefield alongside with its fellow soldiers. Its legs work well in rough terrain areas that can be difficult for humans.
Mine dispoal/EOD: To help prevent and lower the death rate for soldiers and explosive defusers, this robot is built to go toward the explosive to either get rid of it or to difuse it.
Multiscope Rescue: Used for many different scenarios including, fire fighting, human rescue, and attack scenarios. This robot can be put into a situation with its easy way of setting up its equipment.
AGV: An Autonomous Ground Vehicle, this can and will be one of the biggest achievements with haveing an armored personal carrier with weapon capabilities.
