UUV/AUV

UUV is an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle. Many of these drones look like either a mini submarine or a torpedo. We use these drones to help scout the area looking for terrain, underwater mines, other boats/subs. First made in 1957 by the United States.

Bluefin-21: The bluefin is made up of sections to allow people to customize for what mission it needs to be in. Another type of AUV that is shaped like a torpedo to allow for better gliding in teh water. Used for civilian use but can be used to look for explosives if needed to.

 

Remus: an AUV type UUV being an autonomous underwater vehicle. Many types of comanies use the Remus to look for debris, mines, or fish studies. The Remus is shaped like a torpedo to allow it to glide through the water easily and have room for equipment inside.

 

Videoray-pro 4: This uis a small ROV that cna go down to 328 yards. Has a camera in its main pressure hull and can even be fitted with sonar. Mainly used to look for items or to look for something from s safe distance. Both the military and law enforcement use the Videoray to look for mines or illegal substances being carried out ouside a ships hull.
