Great American Ballpark

0The Great American Ballpark is located on the winding banks of the Ohio River in Downtown Cincinnati, Great American Ball Park serves as the home of the Cincinnati Reds, baseball's first professional franchise. Although praised for its innovative features, breathtaking views and affordable seating options, Great American Ball Park also pays tribute to the Reds' rich history. Crosley Terrace statues depict Reds legends Ted Kluszewski, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall and Frank Robinson, while famous-dates banners remind fans of many historic moments in club history. Inside the park, the Italian-marble mosaics, the "toothbrush" light towers and the nostalgic Sun/Moon Deck are just a handful of features that give this modern marvel a truly historic influence.

The park first opened up in March 31, 2003. The aproximate costs for the ballpark ranged from $280 to $290 million. The stadium covers over 29 acres with a seating capacity of 42,271 people with 35 restrooms and 28 concession stands. The playing surface of the field is natural grass and dirt. The distance to left-field wall is 328 feet, center-field is 404 feet and right-field is 325 feet.

Recent additions to the ballpark have helped bring even more amenities to enhance the fan experience, including the Cincinnati Bell Riverboat Deck beyond center field, the hhgregg Highlight Zone on the third-base concourse and the all-new FOX Sports Club.
